Happy New Year - Moving to Sendai, Japan in 58 days!

58 days before move: packing and shipping (by boat), looking at apartments listings.
We got the boxes from the Japanese moving company and we have started to pack books in boxes. We are hoping to get a place around 50 sqm ( about 500 sqft) with at least one separate room.
We are moving to Sendai, the biggest city in the North East of Honshu (the main island, same as Tokyo). Areas of Sendai were damaged during the March 2011 earthquake and mostly by the subsequent tsunami. While most of the business area did not get many damages, unfortunately, many people suffered life-altering losses: loss of life and property.
We are moving to Sendai because we have family there and it seems to be the best place to start. Renting an apartment in Sendai is usually cheaper than in Tokyo.
Once we get there, I will start taking pictures!
